Hi I’m Michael Wargo here at the beautiful Red Tail Golf Club in Sorrento, Florida. We’re here to show you how to use and train with the Simple Solutions. Here to help us is Michael Wheeler, he’s a certified PGA professional and he’s here to go through a bunch of drills and exercises in order to help us use the simple solutions.

Ok so, I’m gonna talk briefly about why I like the simple solutions Golf Swing Training Aid system and what’s it done for my instruction. So I really love I just have one device and it fixes so many different things in the golf swing, with hinge and lag and impact. There’s a lot drills and training aids that hit those things but I need to use 10 training aids or 10 drills just to get one good outcome when we can just use the simple solution attach it to the golf club, which I’m gonna show you how to do in just a moment and really accomplish that those are doing and more. The versatility of it is outstanding and usually versatility and training aid doesn’t go very well together so in this case it does. I mean it does so many things at once. I mean you have the arm to work on proper hinge and lag, you have the laser to on path and plane, we have the chipping to work on chip shots and shot game and also I can use it for drills through impact, which I’m gonna show you through the course of this video. And you know, it’s very simple to use. I absolutely love carrying it along with me, I can carry it in my golf bag very easily. My students really enjoy using and I’m sure you guys will too.

So real quick I’m gonna show you how to set this up. So for today I’m just gonna use a seven iron, it really can be used on any club, I’m gonna use a seven iron here. So what I’m gonna do it you can see I have this opened up all the way so the grip portion here is all the way out. So we’re gonna set this up, so the arm is on top here, we’re gonna slide it on to the top of the grip. What I do is I take my grip first from there, you will have to grip down a little bit on the golf club so just be prepared for that. So I’m gonna take my grip and where the right arm is, I’m just gonna line this arm to the simple solutions to the inside part of my right forearm. Ok from there I’m just gonna hold that in piece and tighten it down, this takes a couple seconds to tighten her down. And I tighten it down pretty hard, so that way when I’m swinging it doesn’t move. I wanna make sure that I’m always getting proper feedback so I’ll just double check it, make sure, I’ll take my natural grip here alright, it’s on the right arm and we’re good to go. Just turn the laser on, or use the simple chip, and you’re ready to go, it’s that simple. And it’s great, you can adjust it for any player that you’re using, depending on what type of grip they use. And the versatility of it is outstanding as I spoke about earlier, so once you have it set up correctly, you can just kinda go through the positions of the swing, which we’ll talk about through the course of this video and really build a great repeatable golf swing, get that feedback, both positive or negative feedback. So if we’re looking for positive feedback, you wanna make sure it’s on the right arm as we take the golf club away, moving towards the left, and laser to the left side of the body, that’s positive feedback. Or you’re getting that negative feedback, take the club away and it’s immediately going to your left arm.

Like I said, I think the versatility of simple solutions Golf Swing Training Aid is outstanding. It really eliminates the need for 20 or 30 other training aids, and I’m really excited to show you how the product works. So let’s get started.

We’re gonna start briefly about how we can use the simple solutions training aid to properly train different parts of the golf swing. We’re gonna start with address. We’re gonna have AJ setup here at address, and we have a laser at the butt end of this training aid here, and we want it point right around the belt buckle, we might be a little low or a little higher, depending on the individual’s physique and body, but anywhere right around the belt buckle is very good. We’re also gonna have the simple solutions set up on the golfer’s right arm, so that way we can properly train that golfer the difference between stress and impact, which is extremely important. So at address we’ll be at the right arm and if we have him go through and turn to impact, ok, and get the face square you can see how that golf club moved to the left arm. If he turn through like he did and did not square the golf club up you can see how it stayed off to the right. So when he delivers the golf club, it’s very important to understand the difference between address, where we have the body squared to the ball and impact, where the golf club now moves into a more forward shaft leaning position and the laser will point somewhere near the left pocket. Understanding that distinction is very important to good golf shots.

The next part of the golf swing we’re gonna talk about the simple solutions really helps out is the take away. So we’ll have AJ go ahead and step up here, as a reminder, we want the laser to point right around the belt buckle. In the take away, a lot of time we’ll see golfers take the club way inside and the laser immediately gets off the body or take it to the outside and we’ll see it kind of go down the legs here. The idea you want to have for the takeaway is to have the laser stay right around the belt buckle for the first 6-12 inches of the takeaway to get a little bit of width going back. And the club and go ahead to begin to hinge as he comes back. So during the takeaway, if we can keep it on the belt buckle, right through about here, and as the club hinges you’re gonna start to see that laser down on your target line, that’s where you can use an alignment rod to get an idea where your target line is. Make sure it’s not too vertical or too flat where the laser will be on the target line that makes it hard to reproduce shots. So we’ll do it one more time, we’re also gonna maintain contact with the right arm here so as he comes back, through one and hinges the golf club is gonna maintain contact with that left arm till about that left arm is parallel to the ground. Go ahead and do it on your own.

So you can see you maintain contact with his right arm, the laser stayed on the belt buckle for the first part of the golf swing, and he made a terrific back swing with a lot of width and he’s setting up for a great down swing that can produce a lot of power.

The third set we’re going to talk about is the top of the golf swing. AJ is going to set up here, we’re gonna put that club right on that target line here, so as he swings back there’s that feedback if the laser it above or below the target line. So go ahead and take it to the top and this device is really designed to intentionally get you into a great top of the backswing position to transition well into the backswing. There are a lot of other training aids that can do this but really eliminates the need for multiple training aids and the great thing about this is, you can hit balls with it, and you can train with it to get into this position and not have to switch to different training aids to train the top then the downswing then train takeaway, you can train all those positions with one device so it really eliminates the need for a lot of train aids, either on the lesson tea or if you’re using it on the range to practice. So we’ll come back down to address again, so just as a reminder for the other positions, we take the club away the laser wants to stay on the belt buckle, the laser will the move as he maintains contact with the right arm down the target line, into the top position, where he might have a slight cup or just a flat left wrist, depending on how he hinges the golf club which is completely depended on that right arm movement. So depending on how you or your student will hinge the golf club you’re looking for this position right here, but it allows that little bit of range and motion for the individuality of the golf swing. Where he can really still keep his style and hit the way he can get good feedback if he’s in the correct position. So after he gets into the top and we transition down, the laser will then immediately go back to that target line. You can really get feedback is you’re coming over the top getting the laser here, getting the club to drop too far under, getting the laser pointer over there. It gives you that really good feedback from top into transition.
